Silver Spirit Suspension — What to Know Before Ordering
The Silver Spirit platform uses a sophisticated independent suspension system with self-leveling rear suspension operated by the high-pressure LHM hydraulic circuit — the same circuit that operates the brakes and power steering. The Silver Spirit II from 1989 onwards introduced Active Ride electronically controlled suspension, which uses completely different components from the earlier passive hydropneumatic setup. Always confirm your model year and whether your car is a Silver Spirit I or Silver Spirit II with Active Ride before ordering any suspension component — many parts are not interchangeable between the two systems.
