We stock two front brake pad specifications for the Silver Spirit and Bentley SZ range. The front brake pad set (3Z0698151B) at $1,250 covers the 340mm front brake disc fitment used on later SZ Series models. The front brake pad set (CD6589) at $390 covers the Silver Spirit, Silver Spur and Bentley Turbo R from 1987 to 1995. These two sets are not interchangeable — always confirm your exact model year and chassis number before ordering front pads. We also stock the rear brake pad set (3Z0698451F) at $350 covering 1994 to 1998. Brake pads must always be replaced in axle sets and the correct specification pad used to maintain the braking balance of the hydraulic system.
What Brake Fluid Does a Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit Use?
The Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit uses the same high-pressure Girling mineral oil hydraulic system inherited from the Silver Shadow — running on LHM mineral fluid, never conventional DOT brake fluid. The Silver Spirit's hydraulic system operates the brakes, self-leveling rear suspension and power steering from a common high-pressure circuit. Adding DOT fluid to this system destroys all rubber seals immediately and causes complete brake and suspension failure. The correct fluid is LHM mineral hydraulic oil — we stock LHM fluid, Girling hydraulic system filters, accumulator spheres, hydraulic hoses and all hydraulic system components for the Silver Spirit and Bentley SZ Series.
