These sensors monitor catalytic converter inlet temperature and are critical for protecting the four catalysts fitted to the Arnage's complex exhaust system. Failure typically triggers a check engine light and can cause the engine management system to enter a protective mode. Both banks should be checked when one sensor fails as they age at the same rate.
