On these classic post-war Crewe-built cars, the headlight beam is switched between high and low by pressing a large floor-mounted foot switch — a driving characteristic that was standard practice on most quality cars of the era. RD8143 features the large 1.25 inch diameter foot knob that is correct for these earlier models. Later cars used a different switch with a significantly smaller knob — the two are not interchangeable, so it is important to confirm your model year before ordering.

This is a new aftermarket replacement switch. The rubber cap that protects the dipswitch body is available separately as RD5153 and is worth replacing at the same time if yours is cracked or missing.
