Pro Tech Tip: Inner CV boots often fail due to exhaust heat making the rubber brittle. Mandatory: When replacing the 3W0498201A, always check the condition of the metal heat shields above the axle. If they are loose or missing, the new boot will fail prematurely. Caution: Do not overfill the boot with grease; use exactly the amount provided in the kit. Excess grease can cause the boot to balloon and rub against the chassis at high speeds.
