Bentley Continental GT, GTC & Flying Spur Suspension Parts
Exotic Car Parts stocks a complete range of suspension parts for the Bentley Continental GT, Continental GTC and Flying Spur, covering the 3W chassis from 2004 to 2017 with both W12 and V8 engines. Every air strut, control arm, bush kit, sway bar link, level sensor and air suspension compressor listed here is in stock at our New York warehouse and ready to ship across the US and worldwide.
Bentley Continental Air Suspension
Air suspension failure is the most common and costly suspension problem on the Continental. Typical signs are the car sitting low on one corner, dropping overnight, a suspension fault warning on the dashboard, or the compressor running for long periods. A leaking air strut is the usual cause, but a worn compressor, a sticking valve unit or a failed level sensor can show the same symptoms. We stock front and rear air struts, air suspension compressors, valve units and front and rear level sensors for every Continental model.
Bentley built a different rear air strut for each body style, so the Continental GT coupe, the GTC convertible and the Flying Spur sedan each use their own part. Front struts also differ between the earlier and later cars. Always send us your VIN before ordering air struts so we can confirm the exact strut for your car, and replace them in sets across the same axle to keep the ride height even.
Bentley Continental Control Arms & Bush Kits
The front suspension on the Continental uses eight control arms, four upper and four lower, to carry one of the heaviest cars in its class. Worn bushes and ball joints in these arms are the most common cause of front-end clunking, squeaking over bumps, wandering steering and wear on the inner edge of the front tires. Symptoms usually start to appear between 40,000 and 80,000 miles.
We stock the complete 8-piece front control arm kit, the 4-piece front upper control arm set, individual upper and lower control arms, the 10-piece front bush kit and individual control arm bushes. If the ball joints on your arms are still tight, the bush kit is the most cost-effective repair. If the ball joints are loose, replace the arms. Whichever you choose, torque the control arm bolts only with the car at its normal ride height, and get a four-wheel alignment once the job is done.
Bentley Continental Sway Bars, Links & Tie Rods
We also stock sway bars, sway bar links, outer tie rod ends, front suspension knuckles, rear wheel bearings and front subframe mounts for the Continental GT, GTC and Flying Spur. Worn sway bar links cause a knocking noise over bumps and a loose feeling in corners. Worn tie rod ends cause steering wander and uneven tire wear, and a failing wheel bearing shows up as a humming or growling noise that rises with road speed.
Bentley Continental Suspension Repair
Most Continental suspension repairs involve more than one part, and many of our customers are owners buying the parts their workshop has listed. Send us the list from your mechanic together with your VIN, and we will check every part number against your car and quote the full job in one go, so nothing is missed and your car is back on the road sooner.
